About the Author
Steven Emerson is Professor of Oceanography at the University of Washington, specialising in inorganic geochemistry. He is a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union and has worked in Europe as well as the US.
The late John Hedges was Professor of Oceanography at the University of Washington, specialising in organic geochemistry. He was the recipient in 2000 of the Geochemical Society's Alfred R. Treibs Award for lifetime achievement.

Yay chemicals

Really covers all the basic-advanced topics going on in modern chemical oceanography. It can be a tough read at points, but is fairly straight forward overall. I may have failed by chemical oceanography exam, but the book is still nice.

Good choice

This book covers all the main topics in chemical oceanography. It is clearly written, and I enjoy reading it. I think that it is the best successor so far of "Tracers in the Sea".
